January 2025 program is on immigration.
Please remember that your 2025 dues should be paid this month.
You can bring $20, cash or check, to the January meeting, or you can renew online for $22 at https://secure.actblue.com/donate/tcdw_dues Karen VanDonsel, our membership chair, sent out an email with all the information, including a membership form, on January 9th.
The slate of officers for the next two year term, beginning this March, will be presented at the January meeting. The election will be held at the February meeting. Nominations from the floor are accepted if the nominee has been informed in advance and agreed to run.
We need to amend our bylaws to allow the Executive Committee to make expenditures up to $250 without a vote from the membership. The limit is currently $100. This came up because we want to make a donation to Allison Riggs' legal battle for the NC Supreme Court seat. Judge Riggs won the election. Her opponent, Republican Jefferson Griffin, refuses to concede and is trying to steal the seat.

Our meetings always have a program that is of interest to Democratic Women.
We also bring our members up-to-date on what's going on with the school board and the commissioners, and offer volunteer opportunities through the Democratic Party.
