National Day of Protest

  • Transylvania County Courthouse Gazebo 7 East Main Street Brevard, NC, 28712 United States (map)

Join us on Monday, February 17th at 1pm outside the Transylvania County Courthouse to demand real leadership for our community.
From our local commissioners to state representatives and all the way to the White House, Republicans have failed to govern for the people. They have ignored urgent issues, choosing political games over real solutions.

  • Locally, our county commissioners have refused to fix our crumbling schools, invest in affordable housing, or create good-paying jobs for Transylvanians.

  • At the state level, Rep. Mike Clampitt and Sen. Kevin Corbin have turned their backs on Western North Carolina, failing to fight for hurricane relief and the resources our communities need to rebuild.

  • Nationally, Donald Trump continues to attack our democracy, our rights, and our most vulnerable communities—all while enriching himself and his billionaire allies.

These failures aren’t isolated incidents—they are part of a deliberate agenda that puts power and profit over people. If we stay silent, they will continue to strip away our rights, defund our communities, and ignore the needs of working families.
This Presidents’ Day, let’s send a clear message: We deserve better. Stand with us and demand leadership that works for the people—not against them.
